Raise Significant Funds For Your Favorite Organization
Since you're looking at this page, I assume you have a strong interest in a non-profit group close to your heart.
A cruise is a fantastic way to raise significant money, AND have lots of fun, and build great fellowship between donors and staff...AND, it can help build strong positive relationships with donors for the future.
Different cruise lines take different approaches, so it depends on the cruise line and even the sail date and ship as to what they will do, but gift income comes from three sources:
1) The donation you add to the cruise cost.
2) The donation made by the cruise line.
3) The donation made by your booking agent
Here Are Some Possibilites
One popular cruise line matches up to $10 per person per day, what your participants give. For example:
If a short 3 day cruise cost $395 and you add a donation of $30 (making the cost $425), the cruise line donates $30 and I give $15, you have a per person contribution of $75. If you have only 15 couples, your group makes a total of $2,250 on a 3 day cruise.
If you do a 7 day cruise costing $1,000 per person and add a donation of $100, the cruise line donates $70, and I give $50, your group makes $220 per person. If you have 15 couples (30 people), you will raise $6,600. Raise he donation to $200 and your group would reap a total of $9,600 -- get 50 people and you group gets $16,000. Is that better, and more fun, than your last fundraiser?
Another cruise line, again depending on the sail date and ship, will contribute a straight $100 per person. If you add a donation of $100 and I contribute $50, your group makes $250 per person. Get 50 people, make $12,500.
For major donors, luxury suites (or a luxury cruise), expands the possibilities for even larger contributions.
All cruise lines give you 1 free person for every 15 paying people for 7 night cruise, There are a number of interesting things you could do with a free cruise to turn it into additional funds for your charity or ministry, such as auctioning it off or selling tickets for a drawing, etc.
